Croeso to our school website! We believe that every step of your child's education is as important as the one before. With this in mind, we strive continually to provide inspiring learning experiences for children.
Throughout the week children from Reception up to Years 6 were learning about and developing an understanding of a specific period in History with each class studying a different historical period. During the week pupils developed a special interest in one aspect of their class’s topic to focus their studies on; for example children in year1 JR worked in groups looking at different areas of The History of Rhyl such as The Fairground, The Marine Lake etc. At the end of the week all children presented their learning to their peers and visited each others’ classrooms to learn about other historical periods.
At the end of the week families were invited to visit the school museum and listen to children manning their exhibit presenting what they had learnt and discovered during the week. However, the school was in darkness and all visitors had had to bring torches to explore the museum.
