Remember Class Councillors - our regular Council Meetings are held on Friday morning[10;30 - 11;30]
An opportunity to meet every other week, we develop our skills and plan our 'next steps'.
Please make sure you remember and bring your 'Council Book' with you!
Our School Council is a very important part of Ysgol Bryn Hedydd.
We hold regular Class Council meetings during which pupils are able to discuss and share their opinions on things going on in and around school and any other matters which they feel are important.
We have 1 or 2 people from each class from year 2 to year 6.
The class councillors then attend the school council meetings and share the ideas and opinions of their class mates.
They then produce Minutes of their meetings and the Chair Person and Vice Chairperson meet with Mr Cannon to share their thoughts and ideas.
Our focus for this year has been the 'Sports Relief which we will be doing a dance-a-thon'. It has been our task to meet with Mr Cannon and Mrs Williams and discuss the next step. We have then fed back to class, with the up-to-date information.
Hi my name is Amelia and I am the Chair lady who leads all the meetings for our school council. I think that its important to have school council meetings because it gives everybody a chance to say their opinion about our school and how they feel.
Hi my name is Lizzie and I am the Vice-Chair lady and I help the Chair lady lead the meetings and when Amelia isn't in I lead them. I think that it is good to have a school council because then we get to hear the pupils and then we know what they think about the school.
