Croeso to our school website! We believe that every step of your child's education is as important as the one before. With this in mind, we strive continually to provide inspiring learning experiences for children.
Year 6 pupils have been having fun this week creating "Modroc" sculptures based on the work of Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti. We made a frame out of special modelling wire then covered it with strips of "Modroc" which is like making a plaster cast for a broken leg. We then painted our sculptures, attempting to recreate the near-black of Gicometti's bronze works.
The worst bit was the mess - the dust gets everywhere. Apologies to parents for any plaster-grey laundry this week.
