Comenius - Sharing Cultures, Sharing Laughter, Making Memories - August 2012
After first coming over to Wales from Munich in Germany in July 2010 as part of our first Comenius project, it was lovely to find out that two of the students have returned to North Wales this year to stay with their original host families, with whom, after keeping in touch over the last two years, they have become good friends.
Janina Lambrich and Hani Le stayed with our ex pupils Cordelia Parmley-Graham and Laura Barratt and their familes two years ago, and our pupils also went to stay with the German families as part of the swap in December 2010.
The girls came over for a week this summer on their own, and had an amazing time visiting many places in North Wales and shopping in Chester! They also enjoyed a day out at a local lake and spent the day boating, (and falling in..) swimming and shooting. Mrs Rodgers went along to say hi, (and showed off her shooting talents!). "It was a pleasure to see the girls from Germany and our ex girls, and their friendships were lovely to see. That's what the Comenius project is all about, sharing cultures and bringing children together".
Cordelia and Laura have been invited back to Munich for a holiday and the girls just cant wait to go!
Thanks to the Comenius project friendships have been forged that will last a lifetime!
