What a glorious afternoon for a spot of inter-house football!
Today saw the turn of the Ysgol Bryn Hedydd footballers during our 'Sporting Events Week'.
The four houses were again competing against each other in the 'round robin' event.
52 boys and girls took part in the event, the youngest being Josh Gardiner from Year 3. Some fantastic goals were scored and heroic performances were called for from the goalkeepers.
The standard was typically high with fantastic displays of individual skill, passing and team work, tenacious defending and spectacular saves!
Deiniol were the eventual winners having triumphed in every game.
Congratulations to their inspirational captain Andrew Olliver and his team: Liam Bowers, Corrine Hughes, Joseph Prime, Louis Morgan, Ben Sedgewick, Patrick McCann, Cameron McAllister, Josh Gardiner, George Wilding, Vinnie Heath, Donny Doyle.
The 'Player of the Tournament' title was given jointly to Andrew and Liam.
The tournament, whilst fiercely competitive was played in true Bryn Hedydd style, with great sportsmanship shown all round. Well done and thank you to all those who took part.
