Croeso to our school website! We believe that every step of your child's education is as important as the one before. With this in mind, we strive continually to provide inspiring learning experiences for children.
On Friday 5th November, year 4 visited the RSPB reserve in Conwy. We had a great day learning more about Flight through bird watching and even pond-dipping!
We learnt how many flying insects start life as under-water larvae or nymphs, then as they change and grow wings, they emerge into the world above and fly away! We also learnt that if you spot a fat Robin, it is happily living in its own territory and protecting it against invasion from rival Robins. If you spot a skinny Robin however, it has flown in from a great distance and is looking for a territory of its own. It has used up all its fat reserves on its quest.
