Croeso to our school website! We believe that every step of your child's education is as important as the one before. With this in mind, we strive continually to provide inspiring learning experiences for children.
Our topic this term is 'In the Garden'. We have been reading The Hungry Caterpillar and have produced lots of work such as writing our own story, sequencing the story, using ICT to make a caterpillar and making butterflies and flowers to name a few.
We will keep you updated on our Twitter page throughout the week with the latest news and what the children are doing. Please follow @ysgolbrynhedydd and look out for #Year1AJ and #Year1JR
Just a few reminders:
We have PE on Tuesday and Wednesday, both indoor and outdoor so can you please ensure your child has a suitable PE kit and that they are labelled.
Any food sent in for your child to have during snack time is either a piece of fruit or a vegetable snack and they will need this each day. The children are also allowed to have a water bottle in school so again, we would gladly appreciate if this was clearly labelled too.
Please could you find the time to read with your child throughout the week and send their book bag into in school at least once a week for a change of book.
Many thanks for your continued support
