Whole School beach day.
Thinking Skills.
This visit to beach had a thinking skills theme and required us to take a different route to get there. The first activity of the day was a hunt for answers. Pupil were given questions relating to different locations on the way to the beach and took much thinking. Pupils had to work well together to ensure no areas were missed. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more.... Mrs Roberts or the kids?
On arriving the beach, pupils were given the task to locate different items from the beach based on information given. This activity required Sharpe eyes and again team work. thinking together to ensure they covered the beach area. The pupils took this in their stride and performed extremely well.
Various other activities were carried out throughout the day all based on thinking skills. The main focus for year five was to build a bridge that met a certain criteria that allowed a boat under and a car over it. This would later be expanded on during D and T in school.
