Fun day at Wepre Park
As we arrived at Wepre park, year 6 went pond dipping, tree shaking and forest floor, searching for creatures. Year 6 enjoyed their time on the trip. We had to listen carefully to what the instructor was saying and follow the instructions. We found lots of creatures such as worms,centipedes and millipedes,caterpillars and other exciting creatures living on the forest floor. In the pond we found newts, sticklebacks,water snails. Another activity that we tried in the forest was a tree shake! We found flys spiders and daddy long legs. We learned about adaptation. An example of this is when the creatures body blends into the enviroment around them. Very clever aren't they?
