FLIGHT
This term year 4 are learning about Flight. This is a science based topic where we will be looking at friction, air-resistance, skeletons and movement and whatever else the children wish to know linked to this topic.
So far, we have made kites and rotocopters in order to gain some insight into how things actually fly and what exactly air-resistance is. We had a great time with mums, dads and grandparents during the open afternoon, designing, making and evaluating our kites.

This is the novel that we will studying this term. It is a wonderful heart warming story about the challenges life throws at you and how kindness and friendship always win through. We will be studying many shorter stories too, all of which raise important issues for the children to consider and learn from.
