Our day out!
Last week both classes had the opportunity of visiting Aberduna Quarry for a day packed full of activities. Even though the Quarry is no longer a working Quarry it didn't stop us getting an experience of quarry life.
We made concrete paperweights, searched for fossils and conducted experiements to test the strength of different rocks. We also took the time to enjoy the scenery around the quarry by sketching using charcoal and we had a think about what the land could be used for in the future.
We all had a great day despite the cold!! It was just as well that we wrapped up warm!
