Year 5 Mr Nolan's class at the beach
On Tuesday Mr Nolan's class went down to the beach to learn more about the moon's effect on the tides. This fitted in perfectly with the Space topic they are studying at the moment. The children listen first and then showed of their knowledge to each other. When questioned afterwards about what they had learnt comments were:
"There are two tides in a day"
"The moon pulls the water to make the sea go in and out"
"If it's cloudy does the sun and moon still effect the tide?"
