Croeso to our school website! We believe that every step of your child's education is as important as the one before. With this in mind, we strive continually to provide inspiring learning experiences for children.
Year 2 ST had a fantasic day out to Talacre this week. Due to the bad weather conditions they couldn't actually go down to the beach to explore but they were kept very busy throughout the day with lots of hands on activities.
The children were scientists for the day, learning about how electricity works and they
were able to experiment with a battery and lightbulb to find out how the lighthouse at Talacre works.
They also learnt about magnets and how cogs are used to turn the wind turbines around.
The children also visited the bird hide and using binoculars had the opportunity to see if they could spot some of the wonderful wildlife living there. They saw some seagulls, ducks and geese, a lapwing and one group were lucky enough to see a buzzard.
It was a fun packed and busy day which was thoroughly enjoyed by both the children, teachers and parent helpers.
