Croeso to our school website! We believe that every step of your child's education is as important as the one before. With this in mind, we strive continually to provide inspiring learning experiences for children.
On the 27th November 2010, Mrs Rodgers, Mrs Parmley-Graham and Mrs Harcourt headed off to Munich, in Germany, with six lucky ex-Bryn Hedydd pupils who are now in year 7 in High School.
Laura Barratt, Cordelia Parmley-Graham, Lauren Herbert, Amy Harcourt, Cheryl Gratton and Emily Steel had been part of the Comenius project earlier this year and had themselves hosted German students. This was their chance to stay with their new German friends and their families and learn about the German way of life.
During the week they not only enjoyed the sights of Munich but they also visited the Munich Opera House, enjoyed a concert there and were also given a guided back stage tour!!
They also visited the world famous Christmas Markets and had an amazing tour of the BMW factory.
They experienced life in a German High School with their hosts and took part in the school's International Festival, where they performed and sang in Welsh. It was a fantastic night, and the girls flew the Ysgol Bryn Hedydd flag with pride.
They had the time of their lives in Munich and learnt so much about the German culture. "Being part of the Comenius project has been the highlight of our time in Ysgol Bryn Hedydd and the perfect end to our Primary School life," said Cordelia. "We have made friends for life thanks to the project" Laura told us.
The girls would like to thank Mrs Rodgers for making this project possible and giving them not only an invaluable experience, but memories that will last forever!
