Croeso to our school website! We believe that every step of your child's education is as important as the one before. With this in mind, we strive continually to provide inspiring learning experiences for children.
Today, pupils in year 5 turned their hand at creating some of the most spectacular looking decorated fairy cakes and gingerbread men we have ever seen.... even Mr Kipling would most definitely approve!
After planning the equipment and ingredients they needed, the pupils set about designing and creating their cakes.
Throughout the morning pupils mixed and made icing in various colours, made butter cream, melted chocolate and made rice crispy cakes.
"This morning was so much fun" said Lennon, "we loved creating amazing cakes and it was great to see how different we all made them."
"It was hard work making the butter cream topping" Matthew told us, "we had to mix it for ages, but it tasted delicious once we had finished".
All the pupils gave the lesson a big thumbs up and were all looking forward to eating their hard work later on!!
hmm,, one or two cakes missing - lunch time snack?
