Core Subject Week - Maths day
Tue 29 Jan 2013Year 1 and 2 enjoyed a Maths activity outside around the school with Miss Taylor.

Core Subject Week - Language day
Tue 29 Jan 2013Year 1 and 2 enjoyed listening to the story of 'The Elves and the Shoemaker'. The children then took part in a game giving them the chance to talk about different parts of the story.

Paralympic Gold Medallist visits Bryn Hedydd
Fri 25 Jan 2013Yesterday Mark Colebourne, a paralympic Gold Medallist came into our school.
He took part in the 2012 Paralympics in the sport of cycling. He talked to us about how he got injured, how long he spent in hospital and how he learnt walk again and to ride a bike after he was paralysed during a paragliding accident and then go on to win 3 medals at the Paralympics.
We thought it was an excellent talk and it made us feel emotional! He inspired a lot of us to want to achieve our dreams!

Core Subject Week - Science day
Sun 13 Jan 2013Year 1 and 2 learnt about different types of magnets with Miss Taylor and what materials they are attracted to. They then did an activity with various materials to find out which are magnetic.
