Kites away!
As part of our topic work on 'Flight' we have worked tremendously hard this week in the area of Design and Technology. We all designed, made and tested a kite using The Red Arrows - red, white and blue colour scheme, they looked amazing! Our main objectives were to find out about 'forces' and how a kite flies, we then went onto make our kites, paying particular attention to working with accuracy when measuring, folding and securing together. After the rain had stopped, we went onto the school yard to test how our kites would fly. We are pleased to announce that every one flew the flag for Ysgol Bryn Hedydd! Finally, we evaluated our kites' performances and discussed ways to improve our designs.
