Our Topic for last term of "Entrepreneurs and Inventions" finally reached its conclusion this week as Year 6 pupils took their fundraising ideas before the "Dragons Den".
The pupils had spent many weeks preparing and performed brilliantly on the day. Pupils had formed companies, designigated job descriptions for team members, created business plans, planned their idea, conducted market research, produced advertising material and....finally....made their presentation to the Dragons.
Mr Cannon and Mr Tudor-Vincent were joined by experienced Dragons Mrs Angela Sykes (a member of the school's governing body) and Mrs Jude Hutchison (Chair of our Friends Association. The rest of Year 6 watched each presentation via a video link to another classroom and completed a peer-assessment, adding to the pressure and nervousness of the teams.
All for Dragons were hugely impressed by the creativity, oracy skills, determination, confidence and courage shown by our pupils and a number of teams received the financial backing to put their ideas into practice so watch out for fundraising stalls and activities over the coming weeks.
Congratulations to all who took part and a big thankyou to the Dragons and to Miss Wenlock for preparing the children so well. They did you proud.
Welcome to our school website! We believe that every step of your child's education is as important as the one before. With this in mind, we strive continually to provide inspiring learning experiences for children.
