Mantell tells a heroic story about the legendary golden cape. It is a fascinating story inspired by the prehistoric riches of north-east Wales and the wider British Isles. It’s all about the pursuit of gold - a tale inspired by the Mold Gold Cape, the largest prehistoric gold object yet unearthed in these islands. You can visit the cape at its home in The British Museum.
