Croeso to our school website! We believe that every step of your child's education is as important as the one before. With this in mind, we strive continually to provide inspiring learning experiences for children.
As part of our science topic this half term on Plant and Animal Interdependence and Adaptation, we have been to Wepre Park to conduct field study work on different habitats.
We studied 5 different habitats over the day:
The still water environment of a pond.
The running water of a stream.
The open grassland of a meadow.
The forest floor of a deciduous woodland.
The tree canopy of the woodland.
We collected a variety of specimens of mini-beasts and small animals in each location and identified them using a chart with descriptions. We noted how these specimens were well suited to the particular habitat.
We had great fun and enjoyed getting really muddy!
