World of Work Week in Year 2

It has been a very busy week at Bryn Hedydd during 'World Of Work' week with lots of diiferent visitors coming into our school telling us all about the jobs they do.

On Monday Miss Taylor and Mrs Westaway-Green's classes visited Rhyl Library to meet Beverley the Librarian.  Beverley told the children all about what her job involves and how she became a Librarian.  The children had the opportunity to ask the Librarian some fantastic questions and they also sat and listened to a few stories.

On Tuesday the children got to meet the Police and find out what is involved in their jobs.  They met PC Steve and PC Tanya and asked lots of questions to find out more.  The children got to have a sit in the Police van, wear the helmets and even have their fingerprints taken which were put on keyrings as a souvenir to take home.  It was a very exciting day!

On Thursday it was another busy day in school with lots more visitors and interesting jobs to discover.  During the morning the children got to meet some soldiers, a dentist, a nurse, a scientist, an actor and many more.

During the afternoon the children were visited by an Architect who told them all about her job and how she designs houses and other buildings.  They also met the local Bank manager who told them all about her job and how different it can be everyday and how to save money.
