Bingo Fever Hits YBH at our Winter Sleepover!!
130 junior pupils packed their bags and moved into school for the night on Friday. Our winter sleepover saw the classes full of sleeping bags,tents and laughing children once again.
After hot dogs and chips for tea, they turned on their torches and headed outside for a treasure hunt in the dark, which proved trickier than ever and had us all stumped! It was great to see the upper juniors and the lower juniors working together in teams.
After changing into their pj's, it was eyes down and... Bingo time, led by Mr Pickavance, who turned out to be quite an expert Bingo caller! Everyone, especially Mrs Bartholomew, enjoyed playing, but congratulations goes to Harvey in Y4 who was the first to shout BINGO and win 1st prize!
Hot chocolate and marsh mallows were served just before it was time to settle down in their classrooms for some 'quiet time' before sleep.
Thank you to Mr Cannon for organising a great night, to everyone who came and slept over and to the staff that gave up their Friday night to join in the fun. All money raised will go towards school funds.
We are all looking forward to doing it all over again in the summer term!
