Comenius Visit to Turkey
Tue 01 Apr 2014As part of the Comenius Project, 4 members of staff had the opportunity to visit our friends in Istanbul, Turkey.
Mr Cannon, Mrs Rodgers, Mrs Bowers and Mrs Gardiner flew to Turkey last week to visit the local Turkish school and along with teachers from Spain, Romania, France, and Poland were able to see what life is like for the children and staff there.
During the school visit, the children put on a show consisting of traditional Turkish dancing. It was fantastic to see!
The school has over 2,000 pupils and up to 50 children in one class.
The following couple of days gave the staff chance to experience the Turkish culture and visit some of their well known buildings. These included The Blue Mosque and the well known Hagia Sophia.
The staff were very well looked after and made to feel very welcome. As a school we have met some fantastic people and built up special friendships.
