Croeso to our school website! We believe that every step of your child's education is as important as the one before. With this in mind, we strive continually to provide inspiring learning experiences for children.

We are sure you have recently heard in the press that there is proposed 'industrial action' planned for Thursday 30th June.
Due to lack of membership in the union involved, staff will not be taking industrial action and therefore Ysgol Bryn Hedydd will remain open and the 'Junior Sports Day' will go ahead on the day, commencing at 12.45 p.m
A letter has been sent home with your child.
Thank you.
Ysgol Bryn Hedydd can't wait for the Denbighshire Arts Festival this year!
Last year was a huge success and the children received so many compliments about how they had performed.
This year is looking to be even better!
The 'Denbighshire Arts Festival' will be held at Rhyl Pavilion Theatre on Wednesday 6th July.
The event will start at 7p.m.
'Glee Club' will be performing alongside our 'Mini Glee Club', the Year 2/3 Choir.
Ysgol Bryn Hedydd have a 10 minute slot which will comprise of 2 songs. They will be singing 'I am what I am' and 'I'd do anything'.
The children are really excited and have been practising very hard. Thank you to Mrs Lees and Miss Hughes for all their hard work so far.
If you would like to support our children and have a wonderful evening of entertainment, then why not ring the Rhyl Pavilion Box Office for tickets?
[Ysgol Bryn Hedydd are not able to sell any tickets]
Look forward to seeing you there!
Ysgol Bryn Hedydd's junior road safety officers had a great day at the conference which was held at the Faenol Fawr Hotel in Bodelwyddan. The day centred around the theme of 'Don't step out behind the bus' and the children were able to take part in a range of fun activities such as writing and performing a song about road safety and helping to produce a piece of mosiac art work which will be on display in Rhyl library later in the year.
As part of our first whole school poll for the website, we asked each class to tell us what their favourite whole school day was of the year.

Today 36 year 6 pupils embarked on their day out to London. They boarded the train in Rhyl at 7.45am setting out for their adventure.
When they got to London Euston they went on the underground to Waterloo. Here they went on the London Eye and were able to see all the sights from the north and south of the river. After this they went to meet Chris Ruane, our local MP, who very kindly showed us around the Houses of Parliament. Although the children weren't sure what to make of this visit they really enjoyed it and it was fantastic to see inside this wonderful building. We also got the chance to go on the Terrace!
We then went back to the Thames and went on a River Cruise down to Tower Bridge and back. Again this was great and the children got to see many landmarks close up.
We then had a unplanned stop at Trafalgar Square which was fantastic. The children loved to see the three lions and the fourth plinth!
Finally we got back to Euston- Quick stop for food before heading back on the train. Even though Mrs PG nearly put us all on the wrong train we finally made it back to Rhyl at 8pm.
It was a fantastic day and thanks to the children for being so well behaved, Mrs PG for organising the trip and Mr Tudor Vincent and Mrs Evans for going.
Mr Cannon
Hopefully, your child today has come home with a sheet for the website competition.
Throughout the week, a 'letter' will be added to a page on the website. You need to find the letter and also tell us what page it is hidden on.
Here is what todays letter will look like on one of our website pages...all you have to do is find it!
Monday - E
PLEASE NOTE...this is not the answer to where the letter is. Search through the pages to find where the letter 'E' is located!
Search the website tomorrow and see if you can find that letter on a different page too!
By Friday, you will have 5 letters. Unscramble these letters and find the 'Winning Word'
When you have solved the puzzle, please return your answer sheet to your class teacher. All correct answers will be put into a raffle to win a prize!
Best of luck everyone!
