• Christmas Fair this Friday 2nd December

  Please join us for our Christmas Fair!
  
  The fair will run from 6p.m - 8p.m. We would love you to join us.
  
  There will be a raffle - first prize is £100. 
  There is also hotdogs, drinks, cakes and stalls.
  
  Any parents who would like to offer help for all or part of the evening - please contact Mrs Donovan or Mrs Newton in the office.

• Christmas School Dinner for pupils

  This year our Christmas School Dinner is being held onWednesday 14th December.
  
  Please can children return their red pro-formas to their class teachers by Friday 2nd December with £1.90.

• Christmas Shoe Box Appeal!

  Ysgol Bryn Hedydd have donated once again to the Shoebox Appeal. 
  
  Link Romania delievers to Eastern Europe and is based in Worthing down in Surrey.
  
  We are only 1 of a handful of schools that support this charity up here in North Wales.
  
  These shoeboxes contain gifts for a family unit not for just one child, so it is a worthwhile cause which Mrs Mutch has been supporting for nearly 5 years now.
  
  This year we have achieved 38 boxes from Bryn Hedydd.
  
  Thank you to all the children who brought in a box this year!

• Carols, Camels and Cameras!

  Look what is on again this year!
  
  Due to the success of last year's event, it was decided to go ahead wioth 'Carols, Camels and Cameras' for the second year running!

• Cross Country Trials trials have been moved

  Our school cross country trials will now be held on Tynewydd fields on Tuesday afternoon.
  
  This is due to the cross country competition being moved from Wednesday 30th November to Tuesday 29th November.
  
  Any junior child who wishes to have a go in the trials needs their outdoor P.E kit for that afternoon.
  
  [Unfortunately, some pupils from Year 3 are involved in a 'Beach afternoon' with Mrs Westaway-Green and Mrs Mutch-Williams this same day and others from Year 3 will be taking part in some willow-weaving.]

• Children In Need

  Just to inform you that the 'Children In Need' bracelets and key rings have raised £252.00 for the cause. 
  
  Children have also been selling cakes this week off their own back and have raised even more! Fantastic efforts from our upper juniors!

• Rehearsals are underway for the Ysgol Bryn Hedydd Musicals and the Infants Nativity

  Tis that time of year again!
  
  Ysgol Bryn Hedydd children are getting ready for their winter productions.
  
  It has been decided this year that each year group in the juniors will perform songs from different musicals.
  
  So it goes a little something like this...
  
  Year 3 - The Lion King
  Year 4 - Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat
  Year 5 - Oliver
  Year 6 - Grease

   

  Auditions have taken place and rehearsals will start next week ready for the big nights!
  
  For the Infants, we are sticking with tradition and they will be performing 'The Nativity'
  
  A separate letter will be sent out shortly confirming times. 
  The days reserved are:
  Junior Musicals - Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th December 
  Infant Nativity - Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th December
