Just let the class teacher know on the day!
Your child should be taking home a letter today about the Olympic Torch.
On the back of the pink letter, we have enclosed a slip. We would be grateful if everyone returned this slip to school to let the class teacher know what you intend to do that afternoon.
Although, some schools in the town are closing we will not be officially closed, however:-
* We must register the children at 1.15pm.
* You can, if you wish, pick your child/ children up from 1.20pm if you intend to go and watch the torch parade.
* If not then school will be open as usual but please be aware if you plan to travel by car on that day then your journey will be extremely disrupted [see closure information on the pink letter]
* Remember your child will need to be picked up at the usual time [3.10 or 3.15pm] if you do not intend to go and view the parade.
We are aware that this will be a once in a lifetime opportunity and some of our ex pupils will be taking part on the day. We hope this information helps you and we have listed the road closures and route on the pink letter.
Please ensure you fill in the pro-forma and return it to the class teacher at your earliest convenience.
[We are sorry for any confusion but we do have to follow the guidelines set by County.]
