    All the best Gill.

  • Help us raise money on 'Pink Day'

    Thu 25 Nov 2010

Ysgol Bryn Hedydd is holding a 'Pink Day' on Friday 3rd December.

We are doing this to raise money for Cancer Research UK, a charity very close to a number of our staffs heart.

Support our school during this special event by taking part in a non-school uniform day. The pupils are asked to wear something pink for 'Pink Day'. Whether this be a pink t-shirt, hair bobble or badge. Maybe we might even have some pink hair!!

Cakes will be sold to raise money for this special cause. They will be sold at break time for 20p.

Our School Cook, Mrs Carol McWilliams is shaving all her hair off for this fantastic charity. This will happen in the hall at 1.30p.m in front of the children!

Prizes have been arranged for the class that raises the most money.

Raffle tickets are being sold and are still available. The raffle will be drawn on the following Monday [December 6th].

We would like to give a great big thanks to Mrs Carol McWilliams for her efforts with this fundraising event.

All the children gathered on the school yard at 9.45a.m and were treated to a half hour show from the experts, Ben and Danny.

The children really enjoyed watching all the stunts as they got more and more dangerous! There were a few eyes closed at parts!!

  • Ysgol Bryn Hedydd celebrate their 40th birthday!

    Fri 05 Nov 2010
On Thursday 4th November, Ysgol Bryn Hedydd celebrated their 40th birthday.

We celebrated this by opening up our school to parents and invited them to spend the day in our classrooms.

We had many grown ups taking up this offer and spending time seeing what we get up to every day. Many parents even joined in lessons!

Straight after school, children were invited to watch a free film with us and then the celebrations carried on into the night!

The bonfire was lit and the music was cranked up! Faces were painted, burgers were eaten, apples dunked and toffee apples purchased.

In all, Ysgol Bryn Hedydd had a fantastic day!

Thank you so much to all those that helped make our day so special.

Keep looking for the photos of the day which will appear in the websites gallery.

If you enjoyed celebrating our day with us, then feel free to leave a comment in our guestbook, found in the 'Community' section.
