• Medieval Banquet for Reception children

  Reception children will be having a 'Medieval Theme Day' lunch on Tuesday 6th December. The cost is £1.90.
  
  Pupils wishing to receive a lunch, need to notify their class teacher on the day.

• Is it a bird???? is it a plane??? no....it's a hovercraft!!!

  Today, Ysgol Bryn Hedydd had the pleasure of welcoming the North Wales Hovercraft Rescue Service to our school field!
  
  Both infants and juniors were treated to a talk by the hovercraft rescue volunteers and also had the unique opportunity to watch the hovercraft fly over our school field!
  
  Not only that, some lucky staff members also had a ride in the hovercraft. Mrs Mutch-Williams, Mrs Newton and Mr Nolan were thrilled to put on the safety helmet and go for a whizz around!

• Bryn Hedydd go gym-crazy!

  Today was the first day that the junior children in Bryn Hedydd were able to use our brand new gym equipment!
  
  And they couldn't get enough of it!
  
  Break time and dinner time saw the children from Years 3-6 working out on the various pieces of apparatus.

• Christmas Fayre....it'll soon be here!

  This year, our Christmas Fair will be held on Friday 2nd December between 6.00-8.00 p.m.
  
  We will be holding two non-school uniform days for the whole school and requesting donations please.
  
  If you can help, they are on: -
  
  Friday 25th November - bottle/ chocolate donations please
  Friday 2nd December - cakes please.

• Come and join us for our 'Open Day'

  On Wednesday 9th October, Ysgol Bryn Hedydd will be hosting their 2nd ever 'Open Day'.
  
  Unfortunately, due to pre-arranged management courses, Year 6 DTV, Year 6 CE, Year 5 PN and Year 1 MA will only take place during the morning. Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this.
  
  You are welcome just to pop in and see what happens on a daily basis in your child's classroom. If you like, you can stop the morning, or even the whole day!
  If you will be stopping for dinner, please take dinner money to the school office.
   
  We hope to see you on Wednesday.

  

• Poppies

  Poppies will be available in school up until 11th November. 
  
  Pupils can get these on the yard or at the office with donations going to the Royal British Legion.
